New sharing mode makes it fast and easy to capture ideas from anyone with a smartphone
Calgary, Alberta --- January 31, 2017 --- Nureva Inc., an award-winning collaboration-solutions company, announces a new QuickShare feature for Nureva™ Span software, allowing anyone to quickly and easily add digital sticky notes and images to a canvas without the need for a Span software subscription. When a canvas owner turns on QuickShare, the software generates an access code that can be shared with a group. After entering this code into a web page, participants can contribute notes and images to the canvas using their phones, tablets or laptops. The QuickShare feature is ideal for facilitated sessions with guests, such as client-engagement meetings in professional services firms or corporate training sessions. It also makes ad hoc collaboration sessions more efficient by quickly gathering input from the group as part of a design-thinking or innovation process.
QuickShare can be easily turned on and off by the canvas owner as required to manage the scope and timing of the input being collected. The interface for participants is simple and intuitive. Participants can contribute digital sticky notes via typing or voice dictation (if available on the device), with 10 color options available. They can also contribute images from the photo gallery on their devices or by taking photos with their devices and directly sending them to the canvas. Participant contributions using QuickShare appear on the canvas in a group that is automatically created by Span software. Once added to the canvas, these contributions can be moved, edited, grouped and otherwise manipulated by anyone who has access to the canvas at the wall or through a user account.
“Many of our customers need to gather on-the-spot input from diverse groups of people as part of their innovation and client-engagement processes,” said Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “This new QuickShare feature gives them the flexibility to quickly and easily enable group contributions from anyone to a canvas within Span software without the need for individual user accounts.”
Further information about the QuickShare feature:
- One-button menu option within Span software places the canvas into QuickShare and automatically generates the access code for participants. Canvas owner can turn off QuickShare at any time.
- Participants access QuickShare by visiting a designated web page and entering the access code. There are no other login or authentication requirements.
- Digital sticky notes and images can be added from smartphones, tablets and laptops. Notes can be added using voice dictation if supported by the device.
