The ease of everything™ I get asked to comment on a lot of topics — things I hear from our customers, emerging trends, where we’re going, the thinking behind our products and our technology ... Usually, I’m asked to contribute a short piece for a publication, and I generally accommodate those requests. Writing comes easy, but like everything else, I need to practice writing to stay sharp and concise. Recently, I found myself writing a short article on a subject about which I’ve often written — the “easy” aspects of our audio products and how they’re different from the more traditional pro AV systems. I dutifully wrote about ease of installation, ease of deployment, ease of management, ease of upgrade, ease of use, easy on the budget, etc., when it struck me — our products have an ease of everything. For a moment, I admired the brevity of the expression. Then I started to imagine how this short statement could encapsulate the broad range of items that I thought it could replace. I set about testing the claim at every opportunity. I asked everyone I ran into — what do you think about our claim that we offer the ease of everything? I often heard, “You’re right — we do have an ease of everything.” Then they would proceed to list off everything they could think of to prove their point (and mine). Our channel was equally enamored — the expression nicely shortens the many advantages of Nureva® audio they must express to their customers and prospects. It also encapsulates the differences between our IT-first mindset and the traditional pro AV approach. Just where does the ease of everything come from? At its essence, it’s the result of a combination of three things: first, a deep understanding of what our customers want to do and how they want to do it; second, a deep knowledge of technology possibilities; and third, a willingness to experiment relentlessly. We’ve done all these things over an extended period to understand our customers and give them everything they need and more. The ease of everything — it’s not just a catchy phrase.
