Powering the HDL410 system is patented Microphone Mist technology, the breakthrough that audio conferencing has been waiting for. It fills rooms with thousands of virtual microphones so people’s voices are picked up everywhere. And because the HDL410 has greater processing power and expanded memory, you unlock even more advanced audio capabilities within the technology.
With 16,384 virtual microphones filling your space, there’s always one nearby. People can speak and act naturally in meetings and classes and be confident they will be heard by those who are remote.
HVAC and other unwanted sounds can seriously affect your audio. So instead of trying to suppress them after the fact, we use adaptive learning algorithms to preemptively ignore them.
We apply gain separately to each sound in a space based on its position, creating a natural listening experience for remote participants.
With our technology, you never need to recalibrate your systems manually. Your HDL410 is automatically and continuously adapting to changes in your room’s acoustic profile.
Microphone Mist technology listens to, and processes, all virtual microphones simultaneously. Conversations sound natural even when more than one person is speaking at the same time.
The HDL410’s unified coverage map enables the physical mics from two microphone and speaker bars to be processed together instead of separately, creating a giant microphone array that spans the entire room. Each virtual microphone is targeted with greater precision, resulting in clearer, more consistent audio.
Amplify a presenter or instructor’s voice in the room without compromising the listening experience of remote attendees.

No – all you need is a device running your UC&C platform, such as a computer, collaboration hub, collaboration appliance or video conferencing codec. No extra speakers, components or DSP required.
Yes. Although the HDL410 comes with integrated 20-watt speakers, you can also connect it to your own speakers if you prefer.
One of the most popular features of the HDL410 (and all Nureva systems) is the fact that we keep adding features and making improvements. To get regular firmware updates, make sure to enter the code found on the bottom of your connect module into Nureva Console.
Nureva’s patented Microphone Mist technology fills a room with thousands of virtual microphones (an HDL410 system deploys up to 16,384). Each virtual microphone is a point in space where two or more physical microphones (there are 24 in an HDL410) work together intelligently to focus audio pickup. Microphone Mist technology listens to each virtual mic simultaneously and optimizes each one for natural conversations.
When two people talk at the same time, the HDL410 system focuses on the stronger signal (the louder voice), while the other voice drops into the background. The effect is as if you were standing in the room close to the louder talker, but are also aware that someone else is speaking at the same time.
The system monitors and adjusts to the location of a talker 10 times per second.
Yes, but please note that not all UC&C systems support stereo audio.
Yes. The HDL410 system is recognized as a standard USB audio device and works with all leading UC&C platforms out of the box.
The HDL410 system will work with any system that accepts clean, echo-canceled input for audio. The product supplies audio through USB or 3.5 mm auxiliary in and out ports on the connect module.
Each microphone and speaker bar hangs on the wall and connects to the connect module via an Ethernet cable (included). The connect module can be mounted on the wall, under a table or wherever it is convenient. It is connected to a power source and to your computer via a USB cable (included). You can install the HDL410 system in less than an hour – no specialized skills or technicians are required.
No. Like all Nureva audio systems, the HDL410’s Microphone Mist technology autocalibrates at set up and continuously during use. It senses and adjusts to changes in room characteristics automatically. No technician is required to set up or maintain the system.
Yes, the HDL410 system can provide flexible audio for divisible rooms. With the addition of a connect module and Ethernet switch, the two microphone and speaker bars can run independently (when the room is divided) or together (when the room is not).
Yes, a two-year subscription to Nureva Pro comes with the HDL410. With a Nureva Pro subscription, you receive extended access to technical support, advance hardware replacement and enhanced Nureva Console features. Patented Microphone Mist technology is truly a revolutionary advancement in audio. It’s the only way to get the great performance you need without the cost and complexity of traditional technologies. And with ongoing firmware updates, your audio systems will keep getting better and better.
Microphone Mist technology fills a room with thousands of virtual microphones so people’s voices are picked up everywhere. No matter where they sit, stand, move or face, there’s always a virtual microphone nearby. And unlike traditional conferencing technology, Microphone Mist technology doesn’t require a complicated, high-cost multicomponent setup to get true full-room coverage.
With our systems, it isn’t just about what you’re hearing – it’s about what you’re not hearing. We take a groundbreaking approach to the problem of persistent unwanted noises, like HVAC systems and projector fans. Instead of attempting to suppress them in post-processing, we use adaptive learning algorithms to preemptively ignore them. The result? You hear voices better and unwanted noises less.
Unlike approaches that apply gain to all sounds equally within a microphone pickup area, our technology identifies the best position of each sound source in the room. This lets us make specific optimizations to both the microphones and the processing of each sound source. Remote participants have an easier listening experience without the distraction of uneven audio.
Automatic gain control keeps audio output levels within range by adding more gain on soft talkers. But both the talker and ambient sounds are treated equally, resulting in increased levels of background noise when quiet people speak. This can be very distracting to remote participants.
We accommodate both loud and soft talkers by providing gain appropriate to the sound source position in the room while keeping ambient noise consistent. The result is a signal-to-noise ratio appropriate for that position, which directly translates into a less fatiguing remote experience.
Don’t adjust your audio every time you adjust your space. Our systems automatically and continuously adapt to a room’s acoustic profile. This means you can change your room – add furniture or adjust orientation – without the need for manual calibration. You can even move a system to another spot in the room and it immediately works – no fine-tuning needed. Traditional conferencing technology may require you to adjust mics, fine-tune noise reduction and echo cancellation or even add components to keep rooms sounding right.
Sometimes the sign of a good meeting or class is when things get lively, with people’s speech naturally overlapping. Traditional technologies can’t always keep up with multiple in-room participants talking at once – leaving remote people behind. But because Microphone Mist technology processes all virtual microphones simultaneously, conversations sound natural even when people talk at the same time.
Voice Amplification Mode makes it easy to amplify a presenter’s voice in the room without compromising full-room microphone pickup in the rest of the space.
When a wireless headset microphone system is connected to the HDL410, the voice of the person wearing the mic will broadcast through the system speakers for those in the room. Remote participants will not only hear the voice of the presenter clearly – they’ll also hear everyone else in the space, thanks to Microphone Mist technology.
This means whether people are attending in person or not, they always get the audio experience they need. We’re the only multifunction audio solution that easily and reliably covers both the in-room and remote scenario.
Microphone and speaker bar only
Wireless headset microphone system with microphone and speaker bar
It’s easy to start using Voice Amplification Mode right away. First, make sure your system is enrolled in Nureva Console (our management platform that’s included with purchase). Next, connect a wireless headset microphone system to the HDL410. Then just adjust a few settings, and you’re ready to go.
Once Voice Amplification Mode is enabled, the voice of the person wearing the headset microphone will be broadcast through the system speakers. People in the room will hear more clearly. And there’s no disruption to the full-room microphone pickup that our Microphone Mist technology provides to remote participants. Remote people will still be able to hear questions and comments from those not wearing the headset.
If voice amplification isn’t needed, just turn off the headset microphone. Your HDL410 will deliver great remote audio as always. And if you don’t have any remote participants, Voice Amplification Mode still works, even without a UC&C application running.
With the HDL410, we’ve also included the option to only hear the person wearing the headset – eliminating all other microphone pickup. Audience mute can be easily toggled on and off using the system remote.
When you turn on audience mute, people joining remotely will hear just the instructor or presenter. This makes it ideal for lectures or presentations, plus it helps deliver clean recordings for lecture capture and recorded presentations. Audience mute can easily be turned off when it’s time for full-class discussion or questions from the floor.
Wondering how Voice Amplification Mode really sounds? We’ve created a demo video to show you just that.
We haven’t made any audio enhancements to this video. Instead, we recorded using the microphone attached to our video camera – to show you how Voice Amplification Mode sounds if you’re sitting at the back of the room (complete with the usual HVAC noises). We also recorded sound captured by our HDL300 system, so you’ll know exactly what a remote person hears on a call.
Active Zone Control allows you to designate an “active” zone where microphone pickup is maintained while pickup in the rest of the space is reduced.
This means that lecturers or presenters can move freely in the active zone, confident that remote participants can hear them clearly above the voices of those outside the zone.
It’s easy to use the system remote to toggle back to full-room pickup when it’s time for questions from the audience or broader discussion.
Use the F2 button on the Nureva audio remote to toggle between the partial zone and full zone settings.
Set the active zone for the required dimensions at the front of the room, and the person speaking can be heard more clearly while sounds and voices from the rest of the space are suppressed. It adds up to better audio for remote audience members and lecture capture.
When it’s time for group discussions or questions from the class or audience, switch to the full zone setting to activate all the virtual microphones in the space so everyone in the room can be heard by remote participants.
To adjust the dimensions of your active zone, open Nureva Console, navigate to the device settings page and open the Active Zone Control accordion. Drag the handles or enter the length and width of your desired active zone.
