Company’s products to help envision the next-generation classroom
Calgary, Alberta --- October 16, 2017 --- Nureva Inc., an award-winning collaboration-solutions company, announces it has joined European Schoolnet’s Future Classroom Lab (FCL) in Brussels, Belgium. The FCL launched in 2012 to challenge Ministries of Education and other education stakeholders to rethink the role of pedagogy, technology and design in classrooms throughout Europe. The state-of-the-art lab has been outfitted with wall-mounted and mobile versions of the Nureva™ Span™ visual collaboration system, along with Span software and the HDL300 audio conferencing system. Visitors to the FCL will experience how these solutions support highly innovative approaches to collaborative, student-led learning. Nureva joins more than 30 leading education technology companies that have also contributed their products to the FCL to support innovative pedagogical approaches to 21st-century teaching and learning.
The FCL consists of six different learning spaces referred to as Create, Exchange, Develop, Interact, Present and Investigate. Nureva’s products are showcased in the Exchange learning space, which explores how Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) can enrich communication and collaboration in a way that creates ownership, shared responsibility and improved decision making in groups. This allows policy makers, teachers and other education stakeholders to see the direct link between Nureva’s products and the acquisition of key skills such as creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.

The Future Classroom Lab is created by European Schoolnet (www.eun.org), its supporting 31 ministries and industry partners, to help visualize how conventional classrooms and other learning spaces can be easily reorganized to support changing styles of teaching and learning. Since opening the FCL in January 2012, European Schoolnet has worked closely with a growing number of ICT providers to ensure an independently-funded and sustainable platform. Policy-makers, industry partners, teachers and other education stakeholders regularly come together in face-to-face training workshops and strategic seminars to develop visions for the school of the future and strategies on how to realize these.
