SMART Technologies founders form new tech company focused on education and business markets
CALGARY, Alberta --- October 6, 2014 --- Nancy Knowlton and David Martin, founders and long-time CEO and chair, respectively, of SMART Technologies, have launched a new technology company called Nureva Inc. After 25 years building SMART, Knowlton and Martin left their management roles in early 2012 and took an 18-month break to survey both emerging technology trends and the market for unmet and evolving needs. Nureva, a private company, is focused on making a difference with technology through a powerful mix of passion, perspective and customer commitment. It plans to introduce its first products for education and business in the first half of 2015.
