Nureva® HDX series

Microphone Mist technology fills a space with thousands of virtual microphones to create a dense coverage grid that captures voices wall to wall and floor to ceiling. In the Nureva HDX series, this is enhanced through a unified microphone array, also called a unified coverage map, that processes all physical components — audio bars and microphone pods — together rather than separately. The system hub automatically detects the position of each component, enhancing audio location accuracy across the entire space. The result is consistently clear audio pickup no matter where people sit, stand or move, with no beamforming or fixed arrays that leave dead zones.

Adaptive Voice Lift (in beta) subtly amplifies voices across a room so instructors and presenters can speak at a natural volume and be heard by everyone — without wearing physical microphones or passing around wireless microphones. With one-way voice lift, Nureva HDX isolates an instructor’s or presenter’s voice, determines its precise location and then lifts it to the farthest speakers at low latency, so the person talking sounds close by even in large spaces. Built-in anti-feedback protection automatically prevents feedback loops, delivering maximum gain without user intervention. One-way Adaptive Voice Lift is available on the HDX 4 bar + 1 pod and 4 bar + 2 pod configurations and is particularly well suited for corporate training rooms and large lecture halls. Full-room Adaptive Voice Lift will be available on the HDX 4 bar + 2 pod configuration with a future release.

Adaptive Voice Amplification is designed for situations where an instructor or presenter uses an external mic — such as a headset, lavalier or handheld. The Nureva HDX system amplifies that voice throughout the room while maintaining full-room mic pickup for remote participants. In-room audiences hear a clearly boosted voice and everyone joining remotely hears both the presenter and the rest of the room. The HDX series supports up to four external mics simultaneously with adjustable mixing and separate gain controls in the Nureva App. Unlike Adaptive Voice Lift — which removes the need for physical microphones entirely — Adaptive Voice Amplification is the right fit for meeting spaces and classrooms where there’s a preference for dedicated presenter mics alongside full-room coverage.

The HDX series has built-in assistive listening (in beta) using Auracast broadcast audio over Bluetooth LE. Students and meeting participants can connect hearing aids, earbuds or headphones directly to the system using their own devices, with no extra hardware or complex setup needed. Both in-room and remote voices come through clearly. Configuration is handled through the Nureva App, including password and security options for confidential sessions. The Nureva HDX series also supports traditional assistive listening solutions, including hearing loops, via auxiliary inputs and outputs, making it a complete and flexible solution for inclusive in-room audio environments.

The system hub is the central intelligence of the HDX series. It handles AV connectivity, advanced digital signal processing and the processing needed to deliver sophisticated features like Adaptive Voice Lift, Auracast broadcast audio and 3D sound location data for camera tracking. The system hub automatically detects the location of all connected components — audio bars and microphone pods — to build a unified microphone array and optimize audio across the space. It also manages energy-efficient sleep modes to reduce power consumption. HDX systems automatically adapt to environmental changes, so there’s no need for manual reprogramming when room configurations shift.

The new HDX audio bars combine microphone and speaker functions in one wall-mounted unit, replacing the separate components, DSP programming and assistive listening hardware traditional pro AV setups require. Each bar has 4-inch drivers for middle and lower frequencies, a 1-inch tweeter for higher frequencies and a channel for an optional subwoofer, with paired bars delivering room-filling sound up to 80 dB and adaptive sound that shifts between voice on calls and full range for music or video. Full-room microphone pickup removes the need for wireless mics and built-in Auracast broadcast audio over Bluetooth LE provides assistive listening (with support for traditional hearing loops). Setups run automatically through the Nureva App, and all components connect through the system hub.

Microphone pods are flexible 2D microphone arrays that expand the capabilities of systems in the HDX series. They can be ceiling or wall mounted and are used to extend full-room microphone coverage in larger or more demanding spaces. Adding microphone pods also unlocks one-way and full-room Adaptive Voice Lift. The HDX 4 bar + 2 pod configuration supports the full suite of these capabilities and is best suited to spaces with complex in-room audio requirements — large corporate training rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, executive meeting rooms and advanced conferencing audio environments where full-room speaker coverage and exceptional mic pickup are both critical.

Nureva HDX has an AI-driven integrated noise suppression feature that distinguishes between voices and background sounds. The system reduces pickup of disruptive noises such as keyboard typing, paper rustling, chair scrapes and HVAC sounds without affecting voice clarity for remote participants. This keeps calls clear and maintains consistently clear audio pickup even in busy or acoustically challenging environments. Advanced digital signal processing in the system hub handles this automatically with no manual tuning required, simplifying complex audio challenges that would traditionally require a specialist to resolve.

The HDX series includes configurations that generate 3D sound location data — XYZ coordinates for every voice in the room — and they send that data to connected cameras for camera tracking and automated switching. Remote participants always see who’s speaking, without manual camera control. These systems support cameras from multiple brands, configured via the Nureva App. By enhancing audio location accuracy with a unified microphone array spanning the entire space, these Nureva HDX configurations significantly reduce missed cues and improve tracking reliability compared with setups that rely on a single microphone position or fixed camera presets.
