Nureva announces its participation in InfoComm 2015

AV industry show key event in launch of company’s business products

CALGARY, Alberta --- May 22, 2015 --- Nureva Inc., an early-stage technology company, announces that it will exhibit at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, Florida, June 17 – 19. Nureva will showcase its new product lineup (to be announced prior to the show) to dealers and end users in booth 3591, a 20 by 20 foot space adjacent to the unified communications and collaboration pavilion. Nureva is actively building a network of dealers to promote and sell its business products and will have staff on-site to engage with interested dealers. The company will also hold a press conference in conjunction with the show.

This is the company’s inaugural exhibition at InfoComm, the premier North American show for the trade association representing professional audiovisual and information communications industries worldwide. Established in 1939, InfoComm has more than 5,000 members, including manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors, independent consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, end users and multimedia professionals from more than 80 countries.

“We have tremendous respect for the market-building work that the top AV channel members undertake,” said Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “InfoComm 2015 will be a great opportunity for dealers to experience our new products and see the potential for them to address real customer needs and add to their business offerings.”

About the founders

Nureva Inc. was founded by technology veterans, David Martin (chairman and CTO) and Nancy Knowlton (president and CEO), the founders and visionaries behind SMART Technologies Inc. over its first 25 years. In 2012 they left SMART and started examining a range of opportunities in education and business. In contrast to their founding of SMART, which was based on the idea for the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, the world’s first and most popular interactive whiteboard/interactive display, Nureva was founded on the belief that assembling a high-caliber team was the most important precondition for success. Nureva now boasts a team of more than 80 people, all of whom bring a passion for solving customer problems.

David and Nancy have a substantial track record in the AV and IT arena spanning almost 30 years. While at SMART, David was responsible for or directly involved in the creation of products and solutions that have changed the way the world works and learns. He is driven by a deep understanding of technology trends and how technology solutions can make life better at work and in the classroom. Also at SMART, Nancy was regarded as a global expert on the adoption of technology in education and was instrumental in the development of the company’s products and remarkable growth and performance over a sustained period of time. Through active engagement at district, state and national levels, Nancy shared her expertise and perspective with decision-makers who were implementing technology in their classrooms.
