As one of Argentina’s leading banks, Banco Industrial S.A. (BIND) hosts numerous high-level (and high-stakes) hybrid meetings, live streams and other gatherings. A key space for group events is the auditorium at its headquarters in Buenos Aires.
“Attendees at events held in the auditorium include business and economic leaders, politicians and banking officials from around the world,” explains Nelson Rodriguez, head of IT customer services at BIND. “This is the most important space in the bank, so it’s vital that everything works extremely well. And that starts with great audio.”
Broad research
Starting from scratch, the search for the right solution for this critical installation included a detailed analysis of two leading ceiling tile systems. But the bank was also in contact with audio experts from Seytech, a regional wholesale distributor focused on video collaboration systems, as well as with DataWise, a provider of a wide range of IT solutions.
The BIND team took the time to evaluate the various solutions offered by Seytech and DataWise. Among them, it was a demo of the Nureva® system that caught their attention — or more accurately, their ears. “We were immediately impressed by the clarity of the audio and the reach of the microphones,” says Rodriguez.
Eliana Elichirigoity, Seytech’s marketing manager for Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and México, explains why she believes Nureva was the right choice for the bank: “I was thrilled that BIND chose Nureva for the auditorium and other spaces. There’s none of the reverberation and tinny sound we’re used to with other videoconferencing equipment. The combination of the auditorium’s excellent acoustics and Nureva’s microphone technology delivers crisp and clear audio. It’s a superb acoustic experience that lets remote participants feel like they’re in the room. BIND needs advanced audio for their important meetings — they get it from Nureva.”
The importance of simplicity
The simplicity of Nureva’s systems was another decisive factor, especially when it came to installation. One of the ceiling tile systems the BIND team considered had the drawback of being complex and expensive to install. By contrast, installing Nureva systems requires no specialized tools or technical knowledge and can be completed in about an hour.
Once the decision was made and the first system installed came the moment of truth. “We had a very important event,” says Rodriguez. “The auditorium was full, with many people speaking. And I’m very happy to report that we received excellent feedback from remote attendees, who highlighted how well they could hear all the participants. Success!”
Rodrigo Osés, channel manager at Seytech, shares his experience working with BIND: “We are proud to provide an audio solution that allows them to easily host successful meetings and presentations in large spaces. Their auditorium hosts groups of up to 100 people, and they achieve full-room pickup and reliable playback with just two microphone and speaker bars. People can move around the space, face any direction, and still be heard clearly by remote participants.”
The success of the auditorium installation inspired BIND to replace existing solutions with higher-performing Nureva systems in other spaces, including the bank president’s office. “We hope to expand our use of Nureva systems — for now, we have them in our most important spaces, where only the best will do,” says Rodriguez.
“Everything works”
Beyond the audio performance, Nureva systems met another key requirement: ease of use. Rodriguez confirms: “Users enter the room, start the call, and everything works properly without having to think about how to operate the equipment. It’s the kind of experience we’re proud to deliver.”
The BIND spaces equipped with Nureva systems have also become a kind of showroom, with DataWise and Seytech bringing potential clients to hear Nureva in real-world scenarios. “We’ve had very positive feedback from clients who heard Nureva in the BIND spaces. And when they hear the praise from BIND’s IT team, it’s a powerful endorsement,” says Romina Carbajal, an account executive at DataWise who worked on the BIND project.
