Video: HDX is the next big leap in simplicity — our team shares why

Posted by Tricia Whenham on Jun 24, 2025 6:00:00 AM

Audio — whether you’re in the room or joining remotely, there’s nothing that’s more crucial to collaboration and learning. However, feature-rich audio is incredibly hard (and expensive) to do well in larger spaces.

That’s why we’re introducing the HDX pro audio series — coming in early 2026. This dramatic extension to our lineup ensures that everyone in a meeting or class can hear absolutely everything clearly, whether they’re in the room or joining remotely. And there’s no complex setup, programming or maintenance.

In this video, our team shares why we created the HDX series and how our customers inspired us. You’ll hear about our innovative approach to voice lift and assistive listening and learn about our sustainability promise.

Adaptable. Inclusive. Easy. Everything you need for large-room audio. Explore the HDX series.

What is HDX?

The Nureva® HDX series is our most advanced audio yet, delivering a huge range of functionality in rooms up to 40' x 60' (12.2 x 18.3 m). It includes three components that can be mixed and matched in a variety of ways, depending on what you need in your spaces:

  • Audio bars — Our wall-mounted bars combine speakers and microphones for rich, room-filling sound and exceptional mic pickup. They come in pairs for spatial audio, with two or four bars depending on the room size.
  • Microphone pods — Our flexible 2D microphone array strengthens mic pickup and adds in-room enhancements such as voice lift. One or two pods can be mounted to the ceiling or wall as needed.
  • System hub — Our multifunctional hub is the heart of the solution, with AV connectivity, advanced digital signal processing and the intelligence to deliver a variety of sophisticated features.

Whether you need great-sounding audio for your classrooms or meeting rooms, or your divisible rooms or multipurpose rooms, we have an HDX setup that will deliver. And every HDX system makes installation, maintenance and use surprisingly simple.

We’ve also made sustainability a priority. HDX components are made of 30% postconsumer plastics, 95% recycled fabric and 100% recyclable low-carbon aluminum. Our packaging is 99% paper and pulp, and we’ve shrunk it to reduce transportation and waste disposal costs. And intuitive sleep modes reduce energy consumption by up to 75%, helping you to decrease your carbon footprint.

What can it do?

The HDX series builds on the success of our HDL pro series systems for audio conferencing. Like the HDL310 and HDL410, HDX gives you incredible microphone pickup in every inch of a larger space, powered by our patented Microphone Mist™ technology. But it can do so much more.

Here are a few new features we’re particularly excited about:

Full-range distributed audio
Each audio bar has two 4" drivers to handle the middle and lower frequencies and a 1" tweeter to handle the higher frequencies. Plus, there’s a subwoofer channel, so you can pair the HDX series with your subwoofer of choice. You’ll experience rich, room-filling audio that spans the listening spectrum and intelligently adjusts for conferencing or music.

Adaptive Voice Lift
HDX can automatically boost in-room voices across large classrooms and meeting spaces, without the use of external microphones. Our innovative approach isolates the voice, determines its location and then amplifies it, with no need for PAG/NAG calculators and other complexities.

Assistive listening with Auracast™ broadcast audio
With built-in Auracast functionality, HDX supports people who are hard of hearing without the need for specialized equipment. Anyone who has earbuds, headphones or hearing aids with Auracast compatibility will receive clear audio directly.

Divisible room automation
If you have multipurpose spaces with movable dividers or walls, HDX delivers built-in divisible room support with a solution that’s simple to set up, operate and manage. Installation is easy with a single cable and no additional hardware.

The list goes on
And that’s not all — HDX also offers voice amplification, lecture capture, meeting recording and support for AI agents. (Here are all the details.)

How can it help?

Before we began developing the HDX series, we talked to a LOT of AV/IT pros. And what we kept hearing, over and over again, was the need for audio tech in meeting rooms and classrooms to do many different things — without being a drain on IT team workloads or budgets.

Tech managers told us it was a frustrating challenge to make sure everyone (joining in person and remotely) could hear each other in larger spaces. But the available solutions weren’t cost-effective — in terms of both purchase price and ongoing maintenance expenses.

That’s why we set out to create something totally different — an audio system that delivers all the functionality IT professionals need without the extra complexity that no one has time for. HDX doesn’t require special expertise for installation, setup or maintenance. It also automatically adapts to changes in room layouts, reducing the drain on IT time and budgets.

The HDX series will be available to order in October 2025 and begin shipping early in 2026. We can’t wait to see it making a difference in larger classrooms and meeting rooms. If you have any questions, please reach out — we’d love to tell you more.
